Threshold: A Tiny Tool for Noticing the Moment

Threshold is a simple, lightweight webapp designed to help you pause, notice what’s happening, and choose your next step with clarity. It takes less than a minute to use, and it’s built to support a noticing practice you can return to throughout your day.

Threshold is one of several small companion tools I’ve been creating over the past year. These tools grew out of a larger project I’ll share more about soon, but for now, Threshold is ready — and you’re welcome to begin using it.

You can use Threshold to:

  • catch moments of dualistic or either/or thinking
  • label what you’re feeling, saying, or doing
  • make short entries (“noticing beats perfect wording”)
  • review your timeline
  • see simple patterns
  • reflect daily or weekly

It’s a gentle doorway back to clarity when the moment feels scattered.

Threshold is free for subscribers of Vergil’s Coffee Table on Substack.

New subscribers will receive:

  • a private link to the Threshold app
  • the password to unlock it
  • instructions for adding it to your phone’s home screen
  • tips for using Threshold as a noticing practice

If you run into a bug or something behaves oddly, reply to the email or send a message to chris@vergilscoffeetable.com with “Threshold Feedback” in the subject line.

Note it. That’s enough.

Threshold is released. Welcome in.
